Well, i ended up burning up my GOOD 75k volt coil before the car ran (don't ask, dumb mistake on my part)

Well, at the moment, i'm running about 6* less timing than i normally do, and on this new stock (only 18 bucks from advanced) coil....

the break up occures above 5500 or so (still should have 1000 rpm of power left)... you can just feel the motor fall on it's face, you can hear it breakin up... no - not pinging...

So what do you think the chances are that the coil is at fault? i've never run a stock coil that high in rpm...

I would think a stocker wouldnt do that but it could be. I seen aftermarket ones do it before too. Could just be a bad coil.

Time to pull out the old voltmeter buddy and start checkin...

ehh dunno if the voltmeter is gonna tell me anything... :-/

new distributor, and new msd box... i'm just hoping it's not valve float... it doesn't REALLY sound like it, but i dunno, the thing changes sound and looses a lot power... if it is valve float, i'm gonna have a ton of fun replacing those valve springs, thats for sure...

I was kinda thinking valve float also, hopefully thats not the case. Do you know anyone that has a good coil you can throw on your car to test it out?

Welp, all fixed...

i knew that i needed to do the valve adjust (was noisey as fuck) i had done one on the engine stand... apparently i was sleepin or something when i did it... talk about a retarded moment...

Anyways, the thing pulls like a raped ape now, i need to raise my rev limiter up... its at 6500 right now, and it's still pulling hard when i hit it... sooooo.......

Anyways, i beat on it a little today, rowed it through the gears - thing cooks along better than last year... the close ratios of the viper t-56 are friggin great!
