So I am looking for some direction.

Plan on back halfing my 84 with some 31-33 x10.5's under it.(what else does one do to a 11,000 mile car) have an SW rear rails and 4link setup. and getting a tubular front kit as well.
Tomorow Picking up a 429 and C6 that run but are bone stock. After the chasis and cage are done, i would like to use the 429 in my Fox, but know it will not hold up to any serious power in its stock form.

I was wondering if anyone could steer me in a good starting direction for machine shop, and rotating assembly. I plan on either a big procharger, or large single turbo.. and blow thru carb

The car is going to be, primarily a weekend car, take to test and tunes and track rentals. Not for any specific class.

Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.

One suggestion already, was to put the engine in the way it sits, just change the 2bbl to 4bbl and spray it. atleast the engine runs the way it is..
-My only prob with this is, Since it is not my daily driver, I do not care how long the project takes. Rather take my time, put the money into it, and make some good power, and have alot of fun.

Sounds like a great project.

For the Chassis setup Miller Race Cars is the best around.

As for a "good" machine shop, theer are a bunch around. But you hear good and bad things about all of them.

I like the idea of putting it in and spraying the hell out of it biggrin.gif

Already talked to jamie about it.. Trying to convince the wife that it is money well spent. Actually, i think it started world war 3 in the house hold.. But i am working on her... in the end it is my choice.. But if the wife isnt happy about it, ill never be happy. she will be sure of that

i'd first find out what year the 429 is and go from there. chances are its a low compression truck motor and that won't be too good for nitrous, but it would be blower friendly. i wouldn't expect to make crazy HP on a stock 429 but the bottom end should support 500hp. so first i'd get the procharger and run no more than 10psi boost. and then build the motor later with some CJ heads and forged pistons with then intent of running massive boost to make over 1000hp.

I have a pair of 74mm T6 turbos! One is def good, one may need a rebuild. A sinlge should kick ass on a 429!

Engien is not staying stock.. But drivetrain is least of worries

Need chasis done, and go from there.
since it is not my only car, im not concerned with how fast it gets done..
